The national selection for Eurovision 2025 will cost the budget 10 and a half million hryvnias

The National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine has announced an artistic competition for the production of audio and audiovisual works for the implementation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 creative project. This was announced on the website of UA:PBC, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Candidates who wish to join the Eurovision 2025 project should send their applications. Their vision of the project will be evaluated according to the following criteria
– dramatic quality;
– relevance of the topic, social importance;
– creative vision;
– production vision;
– compliance with the requirements of the content distribution channel and its convergence;
– compliance of the cost estimate with the project scale and production time.
The maximum cost limit for the services of creating a television version of the final of the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is UAH 10,500,000, including all taxes and fees.
How much did this year’s project cost?
According to the data from the public procurement website Prozorro, the services for this year’s Eurovision National Selection cost Ukraine UAH 10,999,811. This means that next year’s contest will cost almost 500 thousand hryvnias less.
What is the current stage of preparations for Eurovision 2025 in Ukraine?
Until November 10 (inclusive), Public Broadcasting is accepting applications for participation in the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Everyone can apply via the form on eurovision.ua.
To take part in the National Selection and get the opportunity to represent Ukraine on the international stage, you need to submit an original song up to 3 minutes, which has not been previously published or performed in public.
Nine finalists will be selected and their names will be announced by November 20. the 10th participant will be chosen by the audience. The full list of finalists will be announced by January 17.
The estimated date of the final broadcast of the National Selection for Eurovision 2025 is February 08, 2025. The winner of the selection will be determined by the results of the jury and the audience.
Where Eurovision 2025 will be held
the 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Swiss city of Basel after Nemo won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song “The Code”. The grand final of this year’s contest will be held at the St. Jakobshalle arena on Saturday, May 17, and the semifinals will take place on May 13 and 15, 2025. The full list of countries participating in Eurovision 2025 will be announced later this year.
