The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has issued a warning regarding the discovery of dangerous products that may have entered Ukraine from the Netherlands. The products in question are jelly chews, in which delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol—a psychoactive substance that affects the central nervous system—was detected. The Ukrainian agency received a notification about the dangerous products through the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). According to the State Service, the substance was found in jelly chewy candies exported from the Netherlands.
What exactly was found in the candies
The report mentions the presence of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or Δ9-THC, in the jelly chewy candies.
This is a psychoactive substance that directly affects the central nervous system. Its use can cause altered consciousness, impaired coordination, disorientation, and unpredictable behavior.
Such products can be particularly dangerous for children and teenagers, as they look like ordinary candy.
Where the products came from
According to the RASFF system, the products were exported from the Netherlands. The supplier is listed as Multitrance/G-Trading BV.
According to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the likely recipient in Ukraine is the online store Uatrava.net.
Currently, experts are determining the exact import routes and the network of market operators that may have been involved in the supply of these products.
What the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection is doing
Regional offices of the State Service have been instructed to immediately check for the presence of these products in circulation and remove them from sale.
Market operators who may have received or sold these candies must remove the product from circulation and notify the regulatory authorities.

Why these sweets are particularly dangerous
The danger lies not only in the ingredients but also in the product’s form. Jelly candies may look like ordinary sweets, so people who are unaware of the psychoactive substance they contain may accidentally purchase or consume them.
The risk is particularly high for children, teenagers, people with chronic illnesses, drivers, and those who might not expect any effects from candy that looks ordinary.
What consumers should do
If such products have been purchased, they should not be consumed. Keep the packaging, receipt, or information about the seller and report the incident to the local office of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
Parents are also advised to carefully check the origin of sweets, especially if they were ordered online or have foreign labeling.
