Real estate prices are skyrocketing: The State Statistics Service has recorded a rise in the cost per square meter

Housing prices in Ukraine continue to rise, and the first quarter of 2026 was no exception. According to the State Statistics Service, housing prices rose by 17.2% compared to the first quarter of the previous year, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
Price growth in the primary and secondary markets
According to the agency, in January–March 2026, prices in the primary housing market rose by 17.3%, and in the secondary market by 17.1% compared to the same period the previous year.

Compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, housing in Ukraine became 6.1% more expensive.
The State Statistics Service has updated its methodology for collecting data on price changes in the housing market. From now on, the study covers all local communities in Ukraine, including large cities, towns, and villages.
The calculation now includes prices not only for apartments but also for single-family homes—in both the primary and secondary markets.

It is worth noting that prices for long-term rentals of private homes have changed significantly in Ukraine. According to OLX Real Estate, in some regional centers, annual rent has nearly doubled, while in certain cities, conversely, prices have fallen.
