New conditions for granting subsidies: The Cabinet of Ministers has made changes

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced new rules of support for citizens during the heating season. This was reported by the Pension Fund, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs

The changes affected the calculation of payments for electricity supply and distribution services, the purchase of energy equipment, and an increase in the allowable level of expenses that do not affect the right to receive a subsidy.

Thus, for recipients of payments who have entered into an agreement with electricity supply and distribution service providers, the amount of the benefit or subsidy for their payment during martial law is calculated taking into account social standards, regardless of whether such a service is actually provided.

In other words, if during the period of martial law the provision of electricity supply and distribution services is terminated, the housing subsidy or benefit for this service continues to be provided, and their calculation is based on the established social standards.

At the same time, it is determined that housing subsidies are also granted in the case of purchase by a household, in particular on credit, of generating installations that produce electricity from solar and/or wind energy and their components, if the one-time payment for the purchase of such equipment did not exceed UAH 150 thousand.

In addition, the amount of the maximum purchase amount, which determines the right to receive a housing subsidy, has been increased from UAH 50 thousand to UAH 100 thousand. Thus, if any member of the household has made a purchase for an amount not exceeding UAH 100 thousand as of the date of the transaction within 12 months prior to the month of applying for a housing subsidy, this is not an obstacle to the provision of a housing subsidy.

It should be noted that the housing subsidy is granted once a year – from May 1, and its recalculation is automatic.
