How to Increase Your Pension on Your Own — An Expert’s Explanation

The issue of fair pension amounts remains one of the most pressing for Ukrainians. Attorney Ivan Khomych explained in which cases pensions can actually be increased and where to start for those who believe their pension payments are too low. He discussed this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the lawyer, the mere fact that a pension is low does not guarantee that it can be recalculated or increased through the courts. In many cases, the amounts correspond to the current formula, even if they seem unfair.

At the same time, Khomich provided a list of documents that are essential for auditing the accuracy of pension calculations. Without them, it is difficult to determine whether there are grounds for a claim, which is why lawyers always begin their work by analyzing official data from the Pension Fund.

And all these attachments to this order must be obtained together with the OK-5 certificate,” the lawyer explained.
