How much did Ukrposhta earn from the sale of its old warehouses and sorting centers?

The national postal operator Ukrposhta has begun actively divesting itself of real estate that is no longer needed or suitable for use. This includes old warehouses, sorting centers, and other facilities that have become obsolete following the modernization of its logistics operations.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The real estate was sold through the Prozorro.Sales system.
In total, over 13,000 square meters of real estate were sold through eight auctions. The starting price for all properties was approximately 110 million UAH, but during the bidding, it increased more than fourfold —to over 517 million UAH.
The property in Lviv attracted the most interest. It was sold for 462 million UAH, despite a starting price of just 56 million.
The company explains that these properties are no longer used in its operations. After the network was upgraded, part of the infrastructure simply became redundant.
At the same time, maintaining such buildings is expensive. Taxes alone cost at least 3.5 million UAH per year, not including security and utility costs.

Where the money will go
The proceeds are planned to be directed toward the company’s development.
This includes modernizing logistics, improving services, and increasing operational efficiency.
As a reminder, on April 1, Ukrposhta updated some of its parcel shipping rates. The company attributed these changes to rising operational costs, which increased due to higher fuel prices, infrastructure maintenance, and network operations during energy crises.
In addition, Ukrposhta has introduced a new model of cooperation with business clients. Entrepreneurs will be able to use all of the company’s logistics services under a single contract instead of several separate agreements.
