It is extremely difficult to challenge the Medical Examination Commission’s decision after mobilization, says a lawyer

It is practically impossible to get a diagnosis reviewed after a person has already been assigned to a military unit. Lawyer Serhiy Kasyanchuk stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Appealing a medical board decision once a person is already serving is not effective. Even if such a person wins in court, it is extremely difficult to get them out of the unit for a diagnosis review. You need to work on this before deployment or directly with the military medical unit,” says Kasyanchuk.

There are frequent cases where Military Medical Commission doctors ignore genuine health complaints from conscripts and deliberately omit this information from the commission’s findings, the lawyer adds.
“There have been cases where a person was transported around Ukraine for 14 days—no unit wanted to accept them due to serious health issues. As a result, this person was released because no one needed them in such physical condition, even though the ‘checkmark’ for mobilization was already in the documents,” he added.
