The National Association of Polygraph Examiners of Ukraine collaborates with military and law enforcement agencies and, in certain cases, conducts testing free of charge. The association’s chairman, Volodymyr Vedmid, announced this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to him, the primary focus is on supporting the security sector in cases where rapid or targeted screenings are needed without placing an additional financial burden on government agencies.

Vedmid noted that the association regularly receives requests from the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We conduct testing free of charge for the Ministry of Defense, law enforcement agencies, the National Guard, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When there is a moderate number of requests, colleagues from the SBU and representatives of the National Guard contact me, and if it’s just one or two tests a week, we always conduct them free of charge,” he said.
At the same time, the association’s chairman emphasized that a polygraph is not a mechanism for automatically establishing the truth and cannot be the sole basis for decision-making.
According to Vedmed, the result of any test depends on the methodology used, the person’s condition during the test, and the polygraph examiner’s professionalism.
“The polygraph should remain a tool for risk assessment, not a final verdict,” he stressed.
