Poland has officially notified Belarus of its intention to open two checkpoints on the border of the two countries.
This was reported by the Customs Authorities of Belarus in the Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“On November 17, from 2:00 a.m. Belarusian time, the Polish checkpoints Kuznia Białystocka and Bobrowniki will be opened,” the statement reads.
It specifies that only passenger traffic will be allowed through Kuznia Białystock, with the exception of buses. The Bobrovniki checkpoint will be open to cars, buses, and trucks from the European Union, Switzerland, and the states parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
“The customs authorities [of Belarus] are fully prepared to resume traffic at the adjacent Belarusian checkpoints Bruzgy and Berestovitsa,” the publication says.
It follows that all technical means available at the facilities are functioning. Moreover, the infrastructure at the checkpoints has been improved and customs shifts have been staffed.
