The wife of a well-known comedian—TV host Tetyana Syvokho—has died

TV presenter Tetyana Syvokha—the widow of Ukrainian entertainer Serhiy Syvokha—has passed away in Kyiv. Journalist Lesya Orlova announced the news on social media, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The cause of death was cancer, which progressed rapidly.
“Tanya passed away in Kyiv… as it turned out, cancer ‘consumed’ her in just a few months. As far as I know, she faced it with extraordinary dignity, determination, independence, and strength,” Orlova wrote.
According to Orlova, her death came as a shock to many, as Tetyana remained active and composed until the very end, never revealing her condition publicly.
She also noted that this is not the first loss the Syvokho family has suffered in a short time, which has made the situation even harder for her loved ones.
Who was Tetyana Syvokho
Tetyana Syvokho, née Tetyana Reshetnyk, was once a well-known TV presenter in Donetsk. She worked as a news anchor at TRK “Ukraine” and was very recognizable on regional television. Colleagues remember her as a vibrant, modern, and very charismatic TV presenter.
“Very Western in style, cool and sharp, with wonderful intonation and an American delivery. And it would be nice if she were just beautiful (and she was undoubtedly beautiful), but she was also interesting and unconventional in appearance. Then she became Tetiana Syvokho—and that’s how everyone found out she had married perhaps the most popular person in our city,” recalls the author of the post.
Why she left television
After starting a family, Tetiana Syvokho eventually stepped away from her television career and focused on her family. The media reports that she left her job after the birth of her son and devoted herself to family life.

She met Serhiy Syvokha back in the 1990s, and in 2000, the couple had a son. For a long time, the TV personality rarely spoke publicly about his family, and he officially introduced his wife to the general public only in 2016.
Relationship with Serhiy Syvokha
According to reports about Serhiy Syvokha’s family, he met Tetiana in Donetsk when she was already working in television. Together they lived for over 25 years, leaving behind a shared history connected to both the media and family life.
Serhiy Syvokho died on October 17, 2023.
Thus, Tetyana Syvokho outlived her husband by less than three years.
Tetyana Syvokho was buried in Kyiv at the Baikove Cemetery.
