Over a billion to the state budget: Privatization in Ukraine is generating record revenues

During the first five months of 2026, Ukraine received more than one billion hryvnias for the state budget from privatization.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Economic Development, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".  

As part of its parliamentary oversight, the committee conducted its regular monitoring of revenues to Ukraine’s state budget from the privatization of state property. This is an important step in ensuring the transparency and effectiveness of the privatization process.

From January 1 to May 31, 2026, 19 large-scale privatization projects and 1,255 small-scale privatization projects are subject to privatization. During this period, 1,041,091.31 thousand hryvnias were transferred to the budget as a result of these processes.

The Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026” sets the amount of revenue from rent for the use of state property at 800 million hryvnias. Since the beginning of the year, the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) has already secured 409.8 million hryvnias in revenue.

In 2025, 4.51 billion hryvnias from the sale of sanctioned assets were allocated to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

During the first year of large-scale privatization online auctions conducted through the Prozorro.Sales system, the state received 8.9 billion hryvnias.

Earlier, the State Property Fund of Ukraine reported transferring over 6 billion hryvnias to the state budget from the proceeds of its activities.
