Russians destroyed a “Nova Poshta” branch in Zaporizhzhia: what is known
9 April 12:14
Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region last night, April 9. A “Nova Poshta” branch in Novomykolaivka was destroyed after being hit by a drone.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Nova Poshta press service.
The company notes that none of the employees were injured, as the branch was closed at night.
“Unfortunately, over 150 shipments were destroyed. The company is already contacting customers whose packages were at the branch. The preliminary amount of compensation to customers is 300,000 hryvnias,” added Nova Poshta.
It is reported that a mobile branch will soon be set up nearby so that the company can continue to provide delivery services.
Attacks on “Nova Poshta”
The company regularly comes under attack by Russian forces, including strikes on sorting terminals, which result in destruction, the loss of packages, and the deaths of employees.
For example, on April 1, a Russian attack destroyed a Nova Poshta terminal in Lutsk. The shelling caused a major fire.
Additionally, on March 17, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia and struck near a Nova Poshta terminal. People were injured as a result of the shelling.
Also, in January 2026, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a terminal in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The attack killed civilian workers—two company employees and two partner drivers.
Earlier, in December 2025, during a nighttime attack on Odesa, debris from an enemy drone fell onto the grounds of the sorting terminal’s vehicle yard. The damage was estimated at 2.3 million hryvnias.
