The supervisory board of Gazmerethi LLC has been formed: Naftogaz provides details

The supervisory board of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC now includes three independent members and two representatives of the shareholder—the Naftogaz Group. This was reported by Naftogaz, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“We are consistently implementing best corporate governance practices across all companies in the Naftogaz Group. Forming a professional and independent supervisory board is an important step for the company’s development and improving the quality of management,” said Serhiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine.”
Following the results of the competition, GennadiyChizhikov, Marina Petrov, and Justin Guneseinghe became independent members of the supervisory board.
Gennadiy Chizhikov is a Ukrainian economist and manager, Doctor of Economics, specializing in international economics.
Since 2013, he has headed the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; prior to that, he served as president of the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry for over 10 years.
Marina Petrov is an international financial expert with over 20 years of experience in banking, finance, investment, and market development in Central and Eastern Europe.
In particular, she headed the EBRD’s office in Belarus and served as deputy director of the EBRD’s office in Ukraine. She has significant experience in corporate governance and serving on supervisory boards.
Justin Gunesinge is an international expert in the energy and gas markets with over 15 years of experience. He currently serves as Director of the Energy Sector and Director of Gas Markets at Tetra Tech (UAE).
Previously, he was involved in the development of gas markets in the UK and worked at National Grid, a British electricity and gas supply company.
Lesya Kyrychenko, who currently serves as Head of Legal Support for the network of gas filling stations at JSC “Ukrnafta,” and Nataliia Kalimbet, Head of the Department of Management Accounting and Business Analytics at JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya,” have been appointed as shareholder representatives to the supervisory board of “Gazmerzhi.”
“The selection of independent members of the supervisory board was conducted through an open procedure in accordance with the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises. The competitive selection was carried out by an independent recruitment agency, which compiled a shortlist of candidates for further consideration and approval,” Naftogaz reported.

Earlier, the government appointed a new composition of the supervisory board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”: Robert Sleszinski, Erik Rasmussen, Duncan Nightingale, and Tor Martin Anfinnsen became independent representatives. The state representatives are Deputy Minister of Economy Anna Artemenko and State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Kostyantyn Maryevych.
