FC Shakhtar has clinched the Ukrainian football championship ahead of schedule following the results of the 27th round of the Ukrainian Premier League, reports "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Suspilne Sport.
This happened after Shakhtar’s victory in the match against SK Poltava, which the Miners won 4-0, as their lead over their closest rival, Polissya, will be 11 points with three rounds remaining in the championship.
This marks the club’s 16th championship title and its first in the last two years.
