The singer MELOVIN shocked his fans with unexpected news. The artist announced his engagement to a paramedic of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and showed a photo of the event.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the singer’s Instagram post.
MELOVIN is getting married
The artist said that he said “yes” right on the Maidan. Paramedic Petro Zlotya got down on one knee in front of the singer. He presented Melovin with a bouquet and a wedding ring.
“On the Maidan, where Ukraine was fighting for freedom, I chose mine. Love does not ask for permission. I said yes,” the singer wrote.
He also spoke about LGBT people and emphasized equality.
“LGBT people are not an ideology. They are not an organization. They are our friends, our relatives, our defenders, our Ukrainians. Those who are next to us in battle, in volunteering, in life,” the artist said.
Previously, the singer did not talk about his relationship with Petro, so the news of their engagement was unexpected. The couple received a lot of congratulations in the comments. Users wrote:
