Karpaty LLC is expanding its operations: the company has received another special permit for subsoil resources

“Karpaty” Hotel and Resort Complex LLC has been granted another special permit for subsoil use in Lviv Oblast.
This is stated in Order No. 234 of the State Service of Geology and Subsurface Resources of Ukraine dated May 27, 2026, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The document provides for geological exploration, pilot-scale development, and subsequent extraction of mineral resources at the “Pidhiria” site (well No. 28/1). The permit is valid for 10 years.
Pidhiria: the company’s fourth site
The “Pidhiria” site will become the company’s fourth site in operation. Earlier, in 2026, the State Geological Service issued similar 10-year permits for the “Zholob” and “Solonytsia” sites.
- “Zholob” block: planned wells No. SV1-pr, SV2-pr, SV3-pr
- “Solonytsia” site: wells No. 64-K, 64-R, planned wells No. 64-N-pr, 64-O-pr, 64-P-pr, 64-V-pr
In addition to the new permits, LLC “GKK “Karpaty” has been utilizing the Truskavets mineralized brine water deposit since 2016 under special permit No. 6170, which is valid until 2036. In 2026, a separate LLC, “Sanatorium “Karpaty,” was granted a 10-year special permit to operate in the “Karpaty” industrial groundwater area.

What is known about the “Karpaty” complex
The “Karpaty” hotel and resort complex is located in the southern part of Truskavets and has been open since 1993.
The infrastructure includes:
- The “Pidhiria” Landscape Park with its own zoo
- Guest rooms, restaurants, and bars
- Concert and dance halls
- Sports complex
- Medical and spa centers
According to YouControl, the largest shareholders of LLC “GKK “Karpaty” are:
- “Istina-H” LLC owned by Lev Hrytsak: 75.16% stake
- “Sanatorium “Karpaty” LLC owned by Yuriy Hrytsak and Yaroslav Hrytsak: 23.18% stake
- Other individuals and legal entities: shares of less than 1%
As a reminder, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine previously approved the transfer of two special permits for the extraction of groundwater in the Lviv and Kharkiv regions. In the Lviv region, the special permit was granted to the company “Nadra-T” owned by Oleksandr Svischov and Tomas Fiala.
