US President Donald Trump is not sure about the prospects for a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. But, in his opinion, trilateral talks with the participation of the United States will take place.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Trump in an interview with the Daily Caller.

“Trilateral talks will take place. I don’t know about the bilateral ones, but the trilateral ones will happen. But, you know, sometimes people are not ready for that,” the US president said.

In addition, Trump once again compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to “children in a playground.”

“You have a kid and there’s another kid on the playground and they hate each other and they start swinging and swinging and swinging and you want them to stop, but they keep going. After a while, they are very happy to stop. Do you understand this? It’s almost like that. Sometimes they have to fight a little bit before you can make them stop,” he said.

As a reminder, on August 18, US President Donald Trump said that after a conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, he began preparations for a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
