Julie Davis, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine, is concluding her diplomatic mission. This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga met with Julie Davis to mark the conclusion of her diplomatic work in Ukraine.
Among other things, he emphasized the importance of the U.S.’s active role and leadership in advancing the peace process, and thanked Davis for her contribution to the development of political dialogue between Kyiv and Washington.
“We are grateful to the United States for its unwavering support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Today, it is especially important to maintain the strong momentum of our cooperation and to jointly make proactive decisions that will bring Ukraine closer to a comprehensive and lasting peace,” the minister emphasized.
Sybiga wished Davis success in his future diplomatic endeavors and congratulated the U.S. on the upcoming 250th anniversary of its independence, wishing the American people peace and prosperity.
“Ukraine highly values its friendship with the United States. I am convinced that our strategic partnership will continue to strengthen for the benefit of our countries and peoples, as well as our shared cause of defending freedom, democracy, and international law,” the minister added.
In late April 2026, The Financial Times, citing sources, reported that Davis would step down from her post because she was disappointed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s lack of support for Ukraine.
In May 2025, Trump appointed Davis as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim for the United States in Ukraine. Prior to her appointment, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine was headed by Bridget Brink.
