Rocket attack damages 34 educational institutions in Dnipro, including a music school and a vocational school

At least 34 educational institutions, including a music school, a vocational school, and out-of-school education centers, were damaged in a nighttime rocket attack in Dnipro.
This was reported by Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov on Telegram, according to [Kommersant].
“We are still counting the victims. However, we already know that 34 educational institutions were affected. Among them are a music school, a vocational school, and after-school centers. Windows, doors, and ceilings in these institutions were smashed,” Filatov said.
In addition to educational infrastructure, eight medical facilities were also damaged: a hospital, outpatient clinics and a dental clinic.
According to the mayor, this is one of the most audacious attacks on Dnipro since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Rescue operations are underway in the city. About 25 ambulances have been dispatched to the affected areas. Some of the victims got to hospitals on their own.
Volunteers, rescuers, police and psychologists are working. The city is already accepting applications for the restoration of damaged property.
According to the latest reports, at least eight people were killed and more than 80 others were injured as a result of Russian ballistic missiles striking the Dnipro.
On the morning of June 24, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Dnipro and the nearby city of Samar.
Casualties and injuries:
In Dnipro, 7-9 people were killed and 70-100 people were wounded, including at least 10 children. Some of the injured are in serious condition.
In Samara, 2 people were killed and about 11 injured.
Damage to infrastructure:
In Dnipro, about 14-19 schools, 10 kindergartens, a vocational school, a music school, administrative buildings, 4 dormitories, and 8 medical institutions (hospital, outpatient clinics, dental clinic) were destroyed/damaged.
Passenger train No. 52 (Odesa – Zaporizhzhia) was damaged: the blast wave smashed windows and injured passengers, some of the cars were damaged.
Reaction and actions:
Rescue operations have already begun in Dnipro, with 25 ambulances, rescuers and volunteers involved.
Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Prosecutor’s Office opened criminal proceedings under articles that qualify this as a war crime.
This attack is part of a new wave of missile attacks on Ukraine. The attack coincides with the NATO summit in The Hague, as Ukraine calls on its Western partners to increase pressure on Moscow.
