What They’re Saying in Iran
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that sanctions on Iranian oil had been lifted and that some of Iran’s frozen assets abroad had been unfrozen. However, he did not provide any further details.
Iranian media also reported that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said Iran initially refused to continue the talks that began on Sunday. This was due to threats from U.S. President Donald Trump.
In particular, Trump said on Fox News that the U.S. could “seize” the Strait of Hormuz and also issued threats against the Iranian delegation.
