Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov has once again confirmed that Vladimir Putin is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Moscow, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing “Interfax-Ukraine.

“Our president has said several times that if he (Zelenskyy) wants to, please, let him call Moscow. We are ready to receive him and hold talks,” the media outlet quotes Ushakov as saying.

When asked whether Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico had conveyed any message from Zelenskyy to Putin and whether it concerned a possible meeting, Ushakov noted that “Fico did not convey any specific messages, but he did mention his contact with Zelenskyy.”

At the same time, the Russian president’s aide, responding to a question about whether Zelenskyy had asked him to convey anything to Putin regarding a possible meeting, emphasized:

“These are old signals that have been conveyed through many people, including Trump.” “Let him call, otherwise he’ll pass something along, and then everything just hangs in the air,” Ushakov said.

As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated his readiness to meet with Vladimir Putin, but not in Moscow or Kyiv; the meeting could take place in the Middle East, Europe, or the U.S.

“I am ready to meet with Putin. Of course, not in Moscow and not in Kyiv. But if he is ready to meet with me, there are many places for this. We can find such a place in the Middle East, in Europe, in the U.S.—anywhere,” Zelenskyy said in an interview with Rai Italia in April 2026.
