Berry growers have become the main buyers of greenhouses in Ukraine

The highest demand for plastic tunnels and greenhouses currently comes from strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry growers. Vitaliy Razkevich, co-owner of the company “Eucalyptus R,” discussed this in an article in Planator magazine. "Komersant Ukrainian" reports this, citing AgroTimes.
According to him, berry farms are the most actively interested in protected cultivation due to crop losses caused by heat, rain, and spring frosts. In addition to protecting plants, tunnels allow for a higher yield of marketable produce and extend the berry sales season.

“We receive the most inquiries from berry growers—strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries,” Razkevich noted.
Grant programs for greenhouse farming have provided an additional incentive. Some growers view tunnels not only as protection from the weather but also as a way to stabilize profitability during seasons of price fluctuations.
As a result, the berry sector is currently the most active driver of the greenhouse technology market in Ukraine.
