As a result of a massive missile attack on the capital on the night of May 14, civilian infrastructure in the Darnytskyi district sustained significant damage. In particular, debris and a blast wave were reported near the “Kharok” shopping center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to preliminary data, the shopping center’s windows were shattered, and the facade and some retail pavilions were damaged.

Emergency services and State Emergency Service units are working at the scene. There is currently no information regarding the extent of the damage or whether any staff or security personnel were injured.

The nighttime attack on May 14 was one of the largest in recent times. Air defense forces were active in Kyiv and the surrounding region, but due to falling debris, damage to residential buildings and infrastructure was reported in several areas of the city.
Attack on Kyiv
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Russians launched over 670 attack drones and 56 missiles at Ukraine overnight. The strikes included ballistic, aeroballistic, and cruise missiles. The main target of this strike was Kyiv. There is damage at 20 locations in the city.
“These are ordinary residential buildings, a school, a veterinary clinic, and other purely civilian infrastructure. There is also destruction in the Kyiv region; there were similar terrorist strikes on energy facilities in Kremenchuk and on port and residential areas in Chornomorsk,” he wrote.
In total, the president noted, since the start of Wednesday, the Russians have deployed more than 1,560 drones against our cities and communities.
