According to preliminary reports, the most critical situation unfolded in the Darnytskyi district. There, a residential building was damaged in the attack, and part of the structure collapsed.
Timur Tkachenko reported that people may be trapped under the rubble.

A search and rescue operation is underway at the site.
How many people were injured
As of 6:00 a.m., nine people were reported injured as a result of the enemy’s massive attack on the capital and were hospitalized in the city’s medical facilities. Two people received outpatient care.

Which areas of Kyiv were affected
Preliminary reports indicate damage in several districts of the capital.
In the Solomyanskyi district, a parked car caught fire.
In the Holosiivskyi district, debris was found on the roadway.
In the Svyatoshynskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen onto open ground.
In the Obolonskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen onto open areas and onto a three-story parking garage and business center. Additionally, at another location, debris damaged an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building and struck a 25-story unfinished building; there are injuries.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out on the roof of a five-story residential building as a result of the attack. One casualty was identified. At another location, a UAV struck a five-story building. Damage to a private residential building was also reported. At another address, the attack caused a fire in several garages and a parked car.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a non-residential building was hit.
Earlier reports also mentioned debris falling in the Dniprovskyi and Holosiivskyi districts during this attack. In the Dniprovskyi district, debris fell onto the roof of a residential building, causing a fire, while in the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell onto the road.
Why the attack was particularly dangerous
This attack was a combined one: Russia simultaneously used drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Such strikes are particularly dangerous because aerial targets have different speeds, trajectories, and approach times.
Ballistic missiles leave very little time to react, cruise missiles can change course, and drones are often used to wear down air defense systems and place an additional burden on the city’s defenses.
Rescue workers are on the scene
Cleanup efforts following the attack are ongoing in Kyiv. Rescue workers, medical personnel, police, and utility services are working in areas where debris, fires, and destruction have been reported.
Particular attention is focused on the Darnytskyi district, where people may be trapped under the rubble. Final data on the number of casualties and the extent of the damage are expected after search and rescue operations are completed.
