The Verkhovna Rada is proposing to establish a temporary investigative commission to audit the Ministry of Education and Science and the education sector

A draft resolution has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada to establish a Temporary Investigative Commission to investigate possible violations in the fields of education and science.
The investigation will focus on the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, local government bodies, educational institutions, and academies of sciences, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Draft Resolution No. 15270 was registered on May 25, 2026.
The document addresses potential violations of the law in the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science, enterprises and institutions providing educational services regardless of ownership, as well as the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and sectoral academies of sciences.

The bill was initiated by People’s Deputy Lyubov Shpak.
If the resolution is supported by parliament, the Temporary Special Commission will be able to gather information and prepare conclusions regarding possible violations in the field of education and science in Ukraine.
