The Rada Begins Discussing Svyrydenko’s Replacement: Fedorova Named Top Candidate for Prime Minister

The Verkhovna Rada is discussing the possibility of personnel changes in the government, specifically the replacement of current Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. This was stated by Oleksandr Koltunovych, a member of parliament from the “Platform for Life and Peace” parliamentary group, during an appearance on the YouTube show “Superposition, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the lawmaker, discussions are currently underway regarding a potential change in the head of government, and support for such an initiative among members of parliament is being gauged.

“The Rada is discussing replacing Prime Minister Svyrydenko with Fedorov and gauging whether there are enough votes,” Koltunovich said.

At the same time, the lawmaker claims that there is political competition within the parliamentary majority, which, in his opinion, is influencing the information campaign surrounding Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Fedorov is being actively attacked even by his own people—representatives of the ruling majority’s parliamentary faction. They have internal competition, so they’re trying to pin all the problems related to mobilization on him as much as possible to nullify his political clout as a future prime minister,” the lawmaker said.
