Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Airlogix, in partnership with the Finnish company Innokas, has signed a letter of intent to establish production facilities in Finland for the manufacture of unmanned systems using the Ukrainian manufacturer’s technology. According to a post by Airlogix on Instagram, the collaboration will be carried out as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative. The agreement was signed during the DALO Industry Days in Denmark, reports  "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The partnership is being implemented as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative. Its goal is to scale up the production of Ukrainian UAVs in Europe and increase supply volumes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the post states.

In its press release, Innokas noted that the signed document will also serve as the basis for the next phase of the partnership, specifically for the development and establishment of a potential joint venture between the companies or other forms of cooperation.

Among other things, the companies plan to work out legal, technical, and production models for cooperation.

“It is of fundamental importance to us that this collaboration takes place within the framework of the ‘Build with Ukraine’ initiative and serves one clear goal: to increase the production of Ukrainian unmanned systems for the needs of Ukraine’s security and defense forces,” said Oleksandr Androshchuk, Director of Investment and Finance at Airlogix, as quoted in the press release.

As part of the partnership, Innokas will provide the capabilities needed to localize and scale up production in Finland, while Airlogix will contribute the technology and engineering solutions.

“Our role is to help scale up the production of these systems in Finland and increase the volume of equipment that can be delivered to Ukraine,” noted Janne Kostamo, CEO of Innokas.

Innokas is a Finnish CDMO company specializing in the development, industrialization, and production of technological solutions for healthcare, industrial high-tech, the defense industry, and dual-use sectors.

The Ukrainian company Airlogix was founded in 2020 as a startup manufacturing cargo drones and later refocused its activities on developing UAVs for military purposes. Currently, the company specializes in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for military and civilian applications.

Notable Airlogix UAVs

Among Airlogix’s notable developments is the Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial system (UAS) GOR. The drone is designed for tactical and strategic reconnaissance, as well as real-time artillery fire correction. The drone is actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces; the GOR appeared in military units on the front lines in early 2024. It can currently remain airborne for 4 hours and has a flight range of up to 240 km. Communication and control of the drone are maintained at a distance of 100 km from the control point or relay station. It operates at altitudes of up to 3,500 meters.
