Who purchased Ukrainian fabrics in Slovakia

The recipient of the first shipment of Ukrainian technical fabrics was the Slovak clothing manufacturer Mandi Fashion.

The company reported that the foreign customer has already officially confirmed receipt of the goods. Moreover, following the results of the first delivery, the Slovak side expressed interest in further systematic cooperation with the Ukrainian supplier.

This means that the first shipment could mark the beginning of a long-term business relationship between the Ukrainian manufacturer and its Slovak partner.

Why entering the Slovak market is important for the company

At TK-Domashniy Tekstil, they emphasize that entering a new market is a strategic step toward expanding their export reach.

The company believes that this contract confirms the competitiveness of Ukrainian textiles at the European level. In addition, increasing export capacity allows the company to consistently support the country’s economy, preserve jobs, and generate tax revenue.

“We continue to work to ensure that Ukrainian textiles firmly establish their place in the European market. This development is another step in that direction,” the company noted.

What is known about the company “TK-Home Textiles”

“TK-Home Textiles” is one of the leading manufacturers of fabrics, home textiles, and children’s products in Ukraine.

The company’s portfolio includes one of the few finishing factories in Ukraine that produces cotton fabrics, “TK-DT Chernihiv,” located in Chernihiv.

The company’s assets also include:

  • garment factories in Kyiv, Ternopil, Chernihiv, and Odesa;
  • a shoe factory in Chyhyryn;
  • knitting production.

What is known about TK Group

TK Group was founded in 1995. Today, the holding company offers a full range of services for the textile industry—from raw materials and yarns to turnkey solutions for clients in the B2B, B2G, and B2C segments.

Last year, the Textile-Contact group of companies acquired a shoe factory in Chyhyryn, Cherkasy Oblast, and launched a new line of business—shoe manufacturing.

This is a facility with a production capacity of up to 20,000 pairs of shoes per month, which had previously been idle during the coronavirus pandemic and the war.

What other export experience does the company have?

In the fall of 2025, TK-Home Textiles had already made its first international shipment of other products—various bedding sets—to Romania.

In other words, entering the Slovak market was not the company’s first international step, but rather a continuation of its strategy to expand the presence of Ukrainian textiles in European markets.

What does this shipment mean for the Ukrainian light industry?

The first shipment of Ukrainian fabrics to Slovakia demonstrates that the domestic light industry continues to operate, seek new markets, and develop exports even under difficult conditions.

For the industry, this is an important signal that Ukrainian products can be in demand on the European market, and for the company itself, it is an opportunity to strengthen its position in the export sector.
