“Ukrnafta drilled the deepest well in 8 years

The new well has an actual depth of 4,520 meters and has already been put into operation. This was reported by Ukrnafta, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the oil company, the gushing inflow of oil and gas was obtained after perforating the horizon in the interval of 4481.5-4472.5 meters.

“As of November 3, the oil flow rate was 65 tons per day and the gas flow rate was 21.5 thousand cubic meters per day,” said Sergiy Koretsky, Director of Ukrnafta.

“The well was planned as an exploration well to discover deposits of Visean sediments. The construction was completed ahead of schedule despite the considerable depth, difficult geological conditions and wartime challenges.

The works were performed on a turnkey basis by an external contractor, Energofinans LLC, the winner of the bidding on the state Prozorro platform. This is the first of two wells at this field to be drilled by this contractor.
