29 May 16:54
In Ukraine, companies have been given three months to confirm their critical status under the updated reservation procedures. This transition period will last until September 1.
This was announced by Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev during question time with the government in the Verkhovna Rada, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
He noted:
“Regarding the transition period. Just as we did last time in December 2024, this time companies will be given three months to reconfirm their critical status. In other words, this mechanism should be up and running by September 1.”
Oleksiy Sobolev emphasized that a review every 18 months is fair, as the situation is constantly changing. This allows for new challenges to be taken into account and for adaptation to them.

How does the verification process work?
The minister reported that the verification mechanism is already clear, and the document packages are ready. This means the process will not take longer than the previous system reformatting in December 2024, which also took three months.
According to the minister, as of today, there are over 1.3 million reserved workers in Ukraine.
Improving the system for reserving conscripts for critically important enterprises is part of the government’s efforts to support the country’s economic stability.
As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recently approved changes to the system for reserving conscripts employed by enterprises, institutions, and organizations deemed critical to the economy and the functioning of the state under martial law.
