The Cabinet of Ministers has placed the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine under the coordination of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy—Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to Order No. 1008 dated August 10, the government has amended the framework for directing and coordinating the activities of central executive bodies through the relevant members of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Specifically, it was established that the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for Humanitarian Policy—Minister of Culture—will coordinate the activities of the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education, the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, and the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.
Previously, the State Agency for Tourism was coordinated through the Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery—Minister of Community and Territorial Development.
It has been stipulated that the Minister of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport of Ukraine coordinates the activities of the following agencies: the State Aviation Service of Ukraine; the State Agency for Infrastructure Recovery and Development of Ukraine; the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety; the State Service of Ukraine for Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Navigation.
In addition, it has been established that the Minister of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine will coordinate the activities of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Serhiy Koretskyi , chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, as Prime Minister of Ukraine and, upon his recommendation, approved the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The number of deputy prime ministers in the new Cabinet has been reduced from four to three, while the number of ministries has increased from 15 to 17 due to the splitting of large agencies.
The government no longer includes the position of Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine—Minister of Community and Territorial Development—nor the corresponding ministry. In the new Cabinet, these responsibilities have been divided between the newly created Ministry of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons and the Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport.
