About 500 parking spaces for trucks will be set up near the “Rava-Ruska–Khrebenne” and “Krakovets–Korchova” border crossings.

The Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport announced this on Facebook , according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Work has begun in the Lviv region near the ‘Rava-Ruska–Khrebenne’ and ‘Krakovets–Korchova’ border crossings. As part of the project, we will build 270 parking spaces near ‘Rava-Ruska’ and 200 parking spaces near ‘Krakovets,’ the statement reads.

It is noted that these will be fully equipped waiting areas for freight transport—with lighting, water supply, drainage, restroom facilities, and the necessary road infrastructure.

“The waiting areas will help streamline freight traffic, reduce the load on access roads, and make border crossings more organized and safer,” the statement reads.

Preparatory and construction work is already underway at both sites. The project is being implemented with the support of the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program and is part of the “EU-Ukraine Solidarity Routes” initiative.

As previously reported, the first phase of the freight terminal modernization has been completed at the “Porubne–Siret” road border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
