Tehran will not participate in negotiations with Washington under conditions of pressure, threats, or a blockade. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in a conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Iranian television channel Press TV on its Telegram channel, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Pezeshkian noted that until hostile actions and pressure from the U.S. cease, restoring trust and making progress toward dialogue will remain difficult,” the report states.

In addition, the president advised Washington to first remove obstacles, including the naval blockade, in order to resume dialogue and create a platform for resolving issues.

On April 25, Reuters, citing a Pakistani diplomatic source, reported that Iran had refused to accept the U.S.’s “maximalist demands” during peace talks in Islamabad.

According to the source, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi outlined his “fundamental positions” to Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other senior officials, after which he left Islamabad with his delegation aboard a military aircraft. No further details of the conversation were disclosed.
