In Sevastopol, almost 659 tons of pollution have been collected and removed, 165 kilometers of the coast between the villages of Laspi and Andriivka are being inspected.
on December 15, 2024, Russian tankers Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 crashed in the Kerch Strait. As a result, more than 4,000 tons of fuel oil spilled into the Black Sea. The damage is preliminarily estimated at $14 billion.
According to scientists, the fuel oil leak caused by the Russian tanker accident is the largest in the history of navigation in the Black Sea.
