Final election results announced in Hungary: key figures

On April 18, Hungary’s National Election Office released the final results of the parliamentary elections, according to which the Tisza Party won two-thirds of the vote.
The results were published on the agency’s website, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
With 100% of the votes counted, the Tisza Party, led by Péter Magyar, received 70.85% of the vote and will hold 141 of the 199 seats in parliament. The ruling coalition of the Fidesz party and the Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP), led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, received 26.13% of the vote, securing 52 seats. The far-right “Our Homeland” party received 3.2% of the vote and six seats in parliament.
Magyar, commenting on the election results on social media, stated that this was an “unprecedented majority” and an “unprecedented mandate,” which entail “great responsibility.”
Voter turnout in Hungary was 79.56%, a record high.
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on April 12. Péter Magyar, leader of the Tisza Party, will officially become Hungary’s prime minister on May 9 or 10.
