The Ukrainian military is increasingly relying on technology and robotic systems. By the end of 2026, ground-based robotic systems could perform about 30% of the tasks currently assigned to the infantry, and by 2027, this figure is expected to rise to 50%.
MP Ruslan Gorbenko spoke about this on the "Komersant Ukrainian" YouTube channel.
According to him, this is becoming possible thanks to Ukraine’s own developments and technologies provided by international partners, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.

“The goal is to replace 30% of the infantry by the end of the year. And thanks to our partners and the artificial intelligence technologies they provide us with, we understand that by 2027, at least 50% of the infantry will consist of ground-based robotic systems,” Gorbenko noted.
The MP emphasized that to operate such systems, the army needs people with technical education, knowledge of modern technologies, and skills in working with computer systems.
