Wildberries Under Massive Attack: Warehouses Are Burning in Crimea and Near St. Petersburg

On the night of July 24, several Russian regions and the temporarily occupied Crimea came under a large-scale drone attack. According to reports from Russian authorities, local Telegram channels, and OSINT analysts, the strikes targeted logistics infrastructure, industrial facilities, and warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online marketplace, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The largest fires were recorded in the Leningrad Region and in occupied Simferopol. Explosions were also reported in the Tver Region, Kirov, and other regions.
A strike on a Wildberries warehouse was confirmed in the Leningrad Region
According to Alexander Drozdov, governor of the Leningrad Region, a drone struck the Wildberries warehouse complex in the village of Novosaratovka in the Vsevolozhsky District near St. Petersburg.
The attack sparked a fire that was visible from dozens of kilometers away.
The governor also reported that air defense forces allegedly shot down up to 50 drones over the region.
Due to the aerial threat, operations at Pulkovo Airport were significantly disrupted: dozens of flights were delayed, and some planes were diverted to alternate airports.
A Wildberries sorting center caught fire in Crimea
At the same time, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to Russian Telegram channels and OSINT communities, a large-scale fire broke out at the Wildberries sorting center in Simferopol following a drone attack.
The company confirmed that the logistics center’s staff had been evacuated in accordance with safety protocols. However, the company did not officially report on the extent of the damage or the reason for the evacuation.
In addition to Simferopol, reports of air defense activity and explosions came from Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Sudak, and other areas of the occupied peninsula.
What is known about the explosions in Tver
Reports of explosions in Tver began to surface around 2:30 a.m.
Videos of the fire spread online, and some OSINT analysts speculated that another Wildberries warehouse might have been hit.
However, as of the time of publication, there had been no official confirmation from the Tver Region authorities or the company itself regarding this facility.
An attack on an aviation industry facility was reported in Kirov
In addition to logistics centers, explosions were reported in Kirov.
According to open sources and OSINT communities, the “Aviatek” plant—which specializes in the production of aviation equipment and products for the Russian defense industry—may have been targeted.
Russian authorities have not yet released any official confirmation of the extent of the damage to the facility.
Wildberries has been targeted several times
In recent days, the Wildberries logistics network has repeatedly been the target of attacks.
According to Reuters, several of the company’s large logistics centers were damaged in the past week alone. As a result, about 10% of the marketplace’s warehouse capacity has been temporarily taken out of service.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the targeted facilities were directly involved in supplying military equipment and components to the Russian army. The Kremlin traditionally denies this, but the reality suggests otherwise.

Wildberries is Russia’s largest marketplace, often compared to Amazon.
The platform serves hundreds of thousands of sellers, and its logistics network consists of dozens of large sorting centers and warehouses across the country.
Russian Forbes estimated the damage from the attack on Wildberries’ logistics facilities on the night of July 18 at 180 billion rubles (about $2.29 billion).
