Salaries up to 165,000 UAH: Where are the highest salaries in Ukraine?

The OLX Jobs team analyzed which job openings in each regional center of Ukraine offer the highest median salary, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The most common high-paying jobs include plasterers, facade workers, bricklayers, tilers, painters, and construction workers. Employers are also willing to offer high wages to auto repair shop specialists, particularly auto painters, body repairers, and auto electricians.

At the same time, in some cities, the list of highest-paying professions includes dentists, sales managers, designers, and IT specialists. The highest median salary among all analyzed job openings was recorded for tractor drivers in the agribusiness sector in Cherkasy—165,000 UAH.

Who earns the most in the capital

In Kyiv , the highest salaries are currently offered mainly to construction professionals. In particular, plasterers and facade workers can expect a median salary of 85,000 UAH. Also among the highest-paying vacancies are auto body repairers with a salary of 77,500 UAH—where the annual pay level has risen by 41%—and tile setters at 75,000 UAH (40%).

Despite the dominance of blue-collar professions in the salary rankings, there remains a demand in the capital for highly qualified IT specialists. In particular, among the job listings on OLX are offers from N-iX for a Lead AI/ML Engineer and a Lead FullStack Software Engineer with AI, with salaries up to 300,000 UAH.

Real estate sales managers also made the list of professions with the highest salaries in Kyiv . In this category, the median salary reached 75,000 UAH, which is 67% more than last year.

From Lviv to Chernivtsi: Where Construction Workers and Manufacturing Workers Are Paid the Most

In the western regions of Ukraine, construction-related positions dominate the list of jobs with the highest salaries. Specifically, in Lviv, facade workers are offered 82,000 UAH; in Ivano-Frankivsk, plasterers and painters are offered 75,000 UAH each; and in Rivne, 75,000 UAH.

At the same time, salaries exceeding 100,000 UAH have been recorded in several cities. In Lutsk, production technologists can earn 110,000 UAH; in Chernivtsi, bricklayers are offered 103,000 UAH; and in Ternopil, auto body repairers at service stations are offered 100,000 UAH.

Employers are also offering notably high salaries to long-haul truck drivers: 85,000 UAH in Lutsk, 70,000 UAH in Ternopil, and 66,200 UAH in Lviv .

Salary growth in a number of professions is also particularly noticeable. In Chernivtsi, bricklayers’ salaries have risen by more than 217% over the past year, and in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors—by more than four times. In Lviv, painters’ salaries rose by 62%, in Lutsk, bricklayers’ by 56%, and in Ivano-Frankivsk, salaries for sales department managers and auto painters more than doubled.

In Uzhhorod, among the highest-paying jobs—aside from the construction sector—are managers in the hotel and restaurant industry and tourism ( 70,000 UAH), as well as positions in agribusiness— 70,000 UAH.

From Vinnytsia to Chernihiv: where tractor drivers are offered 165,000 UAH

In the central and northern regions of Ukraine, construction trades, logistics, and the agricultural sector traditionally dominate the list of jobs with the highest salaries. Specifically, in Khmelnytskyi, facade workers are offered 72,500 UAH, in Zhytomyr, plasterers— 80,000 UAH, and in Vinnytsia, painters— 85,000 UAH.

At the same time, it is precisely in the central regions that some of the highest salaries in Ukraine are recorded. In Cherkasy , employers are willing to pay tractor drivers in the agribusiness sector 165,000 UAH—a record figure, with the salary for this profession having quadrupled over the past year.

We also see high salaries in the medical and IT sectors. In Kropyvnytskyi, dentists can earn 150,000 UAH, and in Vinnytsia , employers in the IT and computer sector offer over 100,000 UAH.

Salaries in logistics also remain notably high. Specifically, in Vinnytsia, long-haul truck drivers are offered around 100,000 UAH, in Kropyvnytskyi— 80,000 UAH, and in Khmelnytskyi— 70,000 UAH.

Several cities have also seen a significant increase in wage levels. In Zhytomyr , tractor drivers’ salaries have more than tripled over the past year; in Vinnytsia , tile setters’ salaries have more than doubled, and painters’ salaries have risen by 70%.

In Chernihiv, employers offer the highest salaries to facade workers—95,000 UAH. Other top-paying positions include plumbers (70,000 UAH), escalator operators (60,000 UAH), long-haul truck drivers (60,000 UAH), and tile setters (55,000 UAH). Meanwhile, salaries for escalator operators in the city have nearly tripled over the past year.

From Odesa to Kherson: Where Dentists and Tile Setters Top the Salary Lists

In southern Ukraine, construction trades, the automotive industry, and medicine dominate the list of jobs with the highest salaries. Specifically, in Odesa, tile setters are offered 85,000 UAH, in Mykolaiv, bricklayers— 90,000 UAH, and in Kherson, dentists can earn 150,000 UAH.

Also among the highest-paying jobs in these cities are plasterers, facade workers, body repairers, plumbers, and long-haul truck drivers. In Odesa, plasterers are offered 65,000 UAH, body repairers— 60,000 UAH, and facade workers— 57,500 UAH. In Mykolaiv, supervisors can earn 75,000 UAH, and long-haul truck drivers— 65,000 UAH.

At the same time, Odesa has become one of the few cities where a design profession has made it into the top-paying jobs—employers here are willing to pay 63,000 UAH.

In Kherson, in addition to dentists, the list of highest-paying jobs includes auto mechanics ( 52,500 UAH), construction workers ( 39,000 UAH), auto electricians ( 35,000 UAH) , and freight forwarders ( 34,500 UAH ) .

We are also seeing significant changes in wage levels in several cities. In particular, in Mykolaiv, bricklayers’ salaries have dropped by 70% over the past year—last year, employers were willing to pay nearly three times as much.

From Dnipro to Kharkiv: where employers are looking for technical specialists

In the eastern regions of Ukraine, technical specialties, construction, and manufacturing dominate the list of vacancies with the highest salaries. Specifically, in Poltava, plasterers are offered 100,000 UAH, in Kharkiv, auto electricians— 65,000 UAH, and in Zaporizhzhia, dentists can earn 85,000 UAH.

We also see high salaries in the logistics and manufacturing sectors. In Zaporizhzhia, long-haul truck drivers are offered 63,100 UAH, in Dnipro— 55,000 UAH, and in Sumy, several professions share the same median salary level—employers are willing to pay 70,000 UAH to tile setters, electricians, painters, and escalator operators.

Among the highest-paying jobs in these cities are also facade workers, installers, foremen, and production workers. In Poltava, facade workers can earn 75,000 UAH; in Zaporizhzhia, foremen are offered 62,500 UAH; and in Dnipro, production designers earn over 51,000 UAH.

Several cities have also seen a significant increase in wage levels. In Poltava, for example, plasterers’ salaries have nearly tripled over the past year.

In Kharkiv, in addition to auto electricians, the list of highest-paying jobs includes IT and computer repair technicians (61,000 UAH), plasterers, facade workers, and painters— each earning 55,000 UAH.
