Zelensky told what dream Ukrainians have

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the desire to end the war in 2025 and gain peace a Ukrainian dream. The head of state said this during an interview with the Italian RaiNews24, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
During the conversation, Zelensky emphasized that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has always sought to destroy Ukraine.
“This is a fact. This is his dream. And we should not believe in other fairy tales. Therefore, Ukraine must be given such security guarantees that will not allow him to come back with war,” the President of Ukraine said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that, unlike Russia, Ukrainians have completely different goals and dreams.
“It is our dream to receive guarantees this year and end the war this year. We will do everything for this,” the head of state said.
As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked U.S. President Joe Biden, his administration and the entire American people for announcing a new package of sanctions against more than 400 entities associated with the Russian energy sector on January 10.
He noted that these measures significantly undermine the financial basis of the Russian military machine by disrupting the supply chain: key Russian manufacturers, insurance companies, oil and gas service providers, 184 shadow fleet tankers, logistics facilities, and third-country companies.
The president particularly noted the pressure on companies such as Surgutneftegaz, a key financial purse for Putin himself. Such actions send a clear message: criminals must pay for their crimes. The less revenue Russia receives from oil and other energy resources, the sooner peace will be restored.
