The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) has presented a Land Bank for farmers. The project will allow entrepreneurs to access state land through online auctions. This is reported by the Government portal, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is noted that the Land Bank was created to implement the efficient use of state agricultural land and support agricultural producers in difficult wartime.
The platform will provide farmers with access to hundreds of thousands of hectares of state land on a transparent and competitive basis through online auctions on the Prozorro.Sale electronic platform. The starting lease price will be 12% of the normative monetary value of the land, and lease agreements will be concluded for 14 years for annual plantations and 25 years for perennial plantations.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine noted that the Cabinet of Ministers is expected to adopt a resolution on the first pool of land plots to be made available for lease in the near future.
The total amount is 104.2 thousand hectares, which will be put up for auction in late June – early July 2024. These lands are located in different regions of Ukraine, which gives farmers from all over the country the opportunity to participate in the auctions.

“The agricultural sector is one of the most important areas of development of the Ukrainian economy, which has suffered significant damage as a result of Russian aggression. The Land Bank project aims to make the most efficient use of the land resources available to the state and support agricultural producers, especially those who lost their land due to the war,”
– said Igor Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the SPFU.
The SPFU assures that the Land Bank will not only allow efficient use of state land and support agricultural producers, but will also contribute to filling the state and local budgets, creating new jobs and developing rural areas.
