Changes in the rules of departure: will Ziferblat be able to go to Eurovision 2025?

7 March 2025 04:02

The Ministry of Culture explained whether Ziferblat will be able to go to Eurovision after the introduction of new rules for traveling abroad. The final of the contest will take place in Basel, Switzerland, in two months, so this issue was discussed at a meeting of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. Deputy Minister Halyna Hryhorenko said that “we will find a solution by then,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The group will not have the status of criticality, but we will think about how to send it. I think that we can consider this event as one that the Ministry of Culture is involved in, that is, to include it in the work plan of the Ministry of Culture. To allow not only the band, but the whole team to participate in the competition,” Grigorenko said.

The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the rules for crossing the border for artists and media professionals. In particular, legal entities must have a criticality status and a sole proprietorship that has been operating for at least three years to leave.

Documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Culture at least 15 days before departure, and the maximum period of stay abroad is no more than 60 calendar days from the date of crossing the border. In exceptional cases, it may be extended.
