Zelenskyy called on partners to accelerate the strengthening of air defense

The head of state also appealed to Ukraine’s international partners to implement agreements on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense more promptly.

According to the president, Ukraine’s need for modern air defense systems remains extremely urgent.

“All agreements must be fulfilled—and fulfilled promptly. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all our diplomats must act faster, and Ukraine’s needs must be voiced more loudly to the world, because these are real needs to protect lives,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

Allies Recognize the Scale of Russian Attacks

The president noted that international partners are gaining a better understanding of the scale of Russian air attacks and the need to further strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system.

According to him, the issue of providing Ukraine with additional air defense systems remains one of the key areas of cooperation with allies.

Prior to Zelenskyy’s statement, Russia struck the Kyiv region

The president’s statement came after yet another large-scale Russian attack.

On July 24, Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on the Kyiv region. The Bucha district suffered the most damage.

According to official data, 10 people were killed in the attack, and nearly 100 others were injured.

It was following this attack that Ukrainian authorities reported new intelligence regarding Russia’s possible preparations for another massive shelling.
