22 June 11:58
As a result of hostilities and Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in seven regions of Ukraine have been temporarily left without power. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Energy workers are working around the clock to repair the damaged equipment.
Which regions are without power
Due to hostilities and damage to energy infrastructure, some consumers in the following regions are without power:
- Zaporizhzhia;
- Mykolaiv;
- Sumy;
- Kharkiv;
- Chernihiv;
- Donetsk;
- Kherson.
In the first five regions, the Ministry of Energy reports temporary power outages affecting some customers.
The situation is most critical in the Donetsk and Kherson regions
In the Donetsk and Kherson regions, the largest number of consumers have lost power due to Russian attacks.
Restoring power in these regions is complicated by:
- repeated shelling;
- proximity to the front lines;
- significant damage to power grids;
- dangers to repair crews;
- the inability to quickly access certain facilities.
Utility workers restore power immediately after receiving permission from the military and emergency responders, provided they can safely access the damaged equipment.
