Due to constant Russian attacks: The METRO shopping center in Zaporizhzhia is closing

The METRO shopping center in Zaporizhzhia is temporarily suspending operations as of August 1. The company attributed the decision to the security situation, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The METRO shopping center at 7-A Orikhivske Shosse is temporarily suspending operations until further notice. We made this difficult decision due to regular forced closures related to the security situation. In accordance with METRO Ukraine’s policies, shopping centers suspend operations during air raid alerts to ensure the safety of customers and employees. Under these conditions, it is not possible to maintain stable operations and an adequate level of service,” the company stated.
At the same time, the shopping center clarified that HoReCa deliveries in Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region are operating as usual. Supplies will be provided from other METRO shopping centers.
Where are the nearest METRO stores?
The company will announce the resumption of operations at the shopping center in Zaporizhzhia on the official METRO Ukraine website and social media pages.
Currently, the nearest METRO shopping centers are operating in:
- Dnipro — 63 Zaporizhzhia Highway and 1 Kashtanova Street, Slobozhanske;
- Kryvyi Rih — 31 Bykova Street.
METRO thanked customers for their understanding and noted that it continues to work to ensure that Ukrainian businesses maintain access to reliable service even under challenging security conditions.
