Four iPhone models will disappear from sale after Apple’s decision
10 September 2025 16:24
The American technology corporation Apple has stopped official sales of four iPhone models after the presentation of the new iPhone 17 series. The company traditionally adheres to the policy of updating the model range by removing older devices from official stores, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
What models have been discontinued
With the launch of the iPhone 17, Apple no longer offers for sale:
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus;
- iPhone 16 Pro;
- iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Instead, the company introduced a new line of iPhone 17, including the long-awaited iPhone Air, the first ultra-thin smartphone from Apple.

Impact on the market and prices
Although Apple has stopped officially selling these models, other retailers may still have stocks in their warehouses. However, the number of such devices will be limited, as Apple no longer produces these models.
Experts predict that prices for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be reduced by third-party retailers. It is worth noting that with the abandonment of the Plus line in the iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 16 Plus remains the only officially available Apple smartphone with this name.
New models and prices
Pre-orders for the new iPhone 17 series will begin on September 12, and official sales will start on September 19.
New models:
- iPhone 17 – from $799;
- iPhone 17 Pro – from $1099;
- iPhone 17 Pro Max – from $1199;
- iPhone Air – from $999.
Models that remain on sale:
- iPhone 16e – from $599 (price unchanged);
- iPhone 16 – from $699 ($100 discount, 128 GB version only);
- iPhone 16 Plus – from $799 ($100 discount, 128/256 GB versions).
The two remaining iPhone 16 models in the official range received a $100 discount to match the prices of the previous iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
