The dollar, euro, and zloty have risen in value: exchange rates as of May 19

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Following an earlier rise, the dollar continued to appreciate, and the euro also gained in value. This is according to data on the National Bank of Ukraine’s website, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian"

The official exchange rate for the U.S. dollar on Tuesday is:
- 1 US dollar — 44.15 UAH
Compared to May 18, the dollar has risen by 8 kopecks. The day before, the National Bank set the dollar exchange rate at 44.07 UAH.
Euro exchange rate as of May 19
The European currency has also risen in value. The official euro exchange rate is:
1 euro — 51.41 UAH
The euro gained 15 kopecks. For comparison, on May 18 , the euro exchange rate was 51.26 UAH.
Zloty exchange rate as of May 19
The Polish zloty has also risen in value. The NBU’s official exchange rate:
- 1 Polish zloty — 12.11 UAH
Compared to the previous day, the zloty rose by 4 kopecks. On May 18, the Polish currency was worth 12.07 UAH.

As of May 19, the hryvnia weakened against the three major currencies most closely watched by Ukrainians: the dollar, the euro, and the zloty.
The euro showed the most significant growth—up 15 kopecks. The dollar gained 8 kopecks, and the zloty—4 kopecks.
