19 April 16:05

The Trump Organization, owned by the Trump family, plans to build a 70-story skyscraper called Trump Tower in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. This was announced in a post by the company on the social media platform X, published late Saturday night, April 19, European time, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“We are pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Trump Tower Tbilisi’ project—our first branded complex in Georgia,” the post reads.

The Trump Organization explained that the project will be developed in partnership with Archi Group, Biograpi Living, The Sapir Organization, Blox Group, and Finvest Georgia and will become “the tallest building in the country.”

“Its windows will offer views of Central Park, and the complex itself will serve as the core of a mixed-use center featuring luxury apartments, shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues,” The Trump Organization added.

Plans to build Trump Tower in Batumi were announced in 2012

In 2012, The Trump Organization had already announced plans to build Trump Tower in Batumi, Georgia. However, at that time, the project—like many other overseas deals—was canceled due to Donald Trump’s presidential ambitions and his desire to avoid potential conflicts of interest.

Since Trump’s reelection as president, the company has launched a wave of new projects outside the U.S.: in Vietnam, India, and the Middle East, notes The Wall Street Journal.
