The Monobank mobile app experienced a major technical glitch. Users reported issues launching the app, logging in, and encountering errors during the login process. Later, the bank’s co-founder, Oleg Gorokhovsky, announced that the service had resumed normal operations, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Users began reporting issues with Monobank in the morning. The outage affected smartphone users on both iOS andAndroid, though the symptoms varied.
On iPhones, the app wouldn’t launch at all for some customers. On Android, the app opened with a delay or didn’t work, displaying errors.

What happened with Monobank
The outage was widespread and specifically affected the mobile app. Some customers could not log into the app, while others encountered errors or repeated requests for biometric authentication.
Monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky announced on his Telegram channel that the team is already working to resolve the issue.
“We’re experiencing a technical glitch. Sorry about that. We’re fixing it,” Gorokhovsky wrote.

What Gorokhovsky said
Later, he wrote that the app had resumed normal operation. The outage was resolved in less than 20 minutes after Gorokhovsky’s public announcement.
Oleg Gorokhovsky, as usual, commented on the situation with humor. After the service was restored, he wrote:
“We’re back up. Please excuse us—the cat spilled coffee on the sysadmin’s keyboard.”

What issues did users face
During the outage, Monobank customers reported several common issues:
| Problem | How it manifested |
|---|---|
| The app wouldn’t launch | especially among some iOS users |
| Slow app launch | On Android, the app might take a while to load |
| Errors during login | The user might be redirected back after authorization |
| Repeated biometric authentication | The app asked for Face ID or a fingerprint several times |
Is Monobank working now
Following Gorokhovsky’s announcement, Monobank resumed operations. Users regained access to the app and banking services.
However, if you’re still having issues, try updating the app, restarting your phone, or logging in again in a few minutes.
If the issue persists for only one user, the cause may not be a general service problem, but rather an issue with the specific device, internet connection, or app version.
