A soccer player who hit a soldier was detained in the Kyiv region TCC: what is known about the scandal

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers detained 24-year-old footballer Danilo Kolesnik, who struck a soldier from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS) during a conflict. This was reported by the Kyiv region police, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The police did not name the footballer, but it is clear from the context that it is Kolesnik.
The police have opened a criminal case, and the football club for which the athlete played has already terminated its cooperation with him. The former player faces up to five years in prison.
Kolos footballer attacked a soldier of the TCK: details emerge
According to law enforcement officials, the conflict occurred in the village of Svyatopetrivske in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region.
Law enforcement officers established that the man, while in the village of Svyatopetrivske, saw TCC soldiers checking military registration documents and, approaching one of them, provoked a conflict. During a verbal altercation, 24-year-old Danylo Kolesnyk punched a TCC serviceman who was performing his official duties.
As a result of the blow, the soldier suffered bodily harm. The police quickly identified the attacker and detained him.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that the man’s actions qualify as violence against a soldier while performing his official duties.
A video of the attack appeared on social media
The incident gained widespread publicity after a video of the conflict appeared on social media. According to Telegram channels, the recording shows the footballer striking the soldier in the face.
Moreover, according to information from open sources, Danilo Kolesnik himself posted the video of the clash on his Instagram Stories. However, after the recording went viral and caused a public outcry, he deleted the video and closed his profile from public access.

At this time, official representatives of the Kyiv Region Military Registration and Enlistment Office have not provided any public comments on this incident.
FC Kolos fired the player after the scandal
After the incident, the Kolos football club, for which Danylo Kolesnyk played, decided to terminate its cooperation with the player.
According to sports sources, the player played for the Kolos-2 reserve team, which plays in the Second League of Ukraine. This season, he played 16 matches and scored six goals.
Kolesnik is a product of the Kyiv football club Arsenal. He also previously played for the Ukrainian clubs Minai and Livyi Bereg.

The footballer faces up to five years in prison
