The Russians may be installing electronic warfare (EW) equipment on certain Shahed-type drones to jam Ukrainian interceptor drones. According to "Komersant Ukrainian", Sergei “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Minister of Defense, noted this on Facebook.

According to him, “there are reasonable suspicions that certain ‘Shaheds’ have been equipped with electronic warfare (EW) systems to jam our interceptor drones and EW systems to interfere with radar.”

As Beskrestnov emphasized, “there is nothing surprising here for us, but it is important to keep the entire situation under control even before the facts are confirmed.”

The advisor to the Minister of Defense urged his military colleagues, “whoever notices any unusual events involving the ‘Shaheds,’ to report them, for example, via the website https://ForFlash.com.ua.”

As a reminder, according to Beskrestnov, Russian Shahed-type drones have begun to change their behavior during attacks, specifically maneuvering when Ukrainian interceptor drones approach, likely due to the use of cameras.
